Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Philadelphia, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 AM–3 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Its website is babysphl.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Quaint Filipino restaurant with tasty original takes on classic Filipino dishes. The shredded beef tapsilog is a variation of adobo that is very similar to the way my wife's aunt used to make it. The kare kare katsu, mango salad, coconut bibingka and ube banana bread were all delicious. We will be going back and likely getting a party catered by them based on our first visit to Baby's.

The food and the hostess really brought our experience to 4 stars. The calamansi ensaymada was mind blowing. It had a sans rival-type crumble on top that was crunchy and salty. The beepstek was tender and savory; I probably would have added another spritz for lemon juice, but I like sour things. I’m a rich Tita (childfree woohoo!) and the rich tita sandwich was sooooo unctuous and delicious. I could have house 2 of them if I truly wanted to speed up the gout. My girlfriend had the Big Brekkie and she demolished it. Not one crumb left. The saba/banana Q latte it was a let down. For the price, the size and saba experience was a let down. We didnt even get a caramelized banana piece on top. The wait line to order is anomoly. I’m not really sure why the line is so slow, but I’m going to chalk it up to new filipino food converts who have many questions about the menu. Otherwise it wasn’t a long wait for the food once seated. I really like the motif of the place. It had an air of nipa hut, but still modern.

This is my second time at Baby’s and it’s delivered a phenomenal experience each time! I went a month ago with my boyfriend and had such a special time that I had to bring my cousin and her bf. I love the vibes, the staff who treat you like family, and the fresh takes on traditional Filipino dishes. We had the scallop crudo, pinakbet, and sautΓ©ed bok choy to start. Chef Iman was kind enough to make the bok choy gluten free for my cousin. Then we had the kare kare, salmon sinigang, and scallop Bicol express for our mains. Everything was so delicious, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the pinakbet, SO GOOD! Thanks again for an amazing experience! I’ll definitely be back again :)

This was my first visit and I was impressed! Plus, I am ready to head back as soon as I can. The atmosphere is communal and welcoming. On a Saturday, expect a steady buzz of guests but you’ll still find a seat to sit, chill and eat with your friends. It’s self-seating and counter ordering. The staff is super friendly and takes time to explain the menu even when they’re busy. I ordered the matcha coconut latte and on first sip I was instantly hooked! So tasty that I literally said β€œmmm wow!” Everything I ordered was delicious, well seasoned, great portions, and it hit the spot. I mentioned it was my first time. Later on, after I got my food, one of the staff members was kind enough to give me a complimentary pastry. I took it home for later and devoured it. I can’t wait to swing back here. Keep up the great work, Baby’s!! Def check it out for weekend brunch or whenever. Really great for a post walk or run meal if you’re in the art museum area.

At my son's request, we celebrated his birthday and Baby's Kusina truly delivered from beginning to end. We were given a warm Filipino welcome by the staff upon entry and seated us immediately. The interior was warm and pleasing, we got to sit upstairs where it felt semi private for a party of 6, plus there was a cute seating area where we placed gifts and balloons. The service was superior where our waitress was very knowledgeable in the menu and the staff seem to enjoy working there. Didn't feel rushed by the staff and felt they were sincere and present, wanted us to have a good experience, even Chef Iman came upstairs to meet us and even gave us a special treat! The best was the magnificently delicious food experience. Very creative and tasteful--so masarap (yummy!). My favorite was the Bicol Express, best ever that I have had and we just returned from a trip in the Philippines! They made my son's birthday very special indeed! Thank you!
